What we're solving

Everything the author needs. Nothing extra to learn.

The Word connector is focused on making and performing approval requests. The heavy lifting lives in the OneApproval platform. Word just surfaces what matters, where you are.

01

Status on the page.

A glanceable indicator (Pending, In review, Approved, Rejected) embedded on the page. Updates as the workflow advances.

02

Requester view.

Start an approval. Pick a workflow. Override approvers or due date. See where you are in the route. Cancel, restart, or remind from the same pane.

03

Approver view.

Approve, request changes or reject, with a comment if you need one. The pane shows context. The document beside it shows the work.

04

SSO with Microsoft 365.

Already signed into M365? You're already signed into OneApproval. No second login, no second password.

05

Version-aware.

SharePoint and OneDrive versions tracked automatically. OneApproval pins the exact revision that was approved.

06

External approvers welcome.

Need a sign-off from an outside legal counsel? Send an email link. They review and decide without needing a Microsoft license.

Installation

Available through AppSource. Or pushed via your M365 admin.

Any Microsoft 365 user can install the add-in from the Microsoft Marketplace in seconds, without IT involvement. For organization-wide rollout, your admin pushes OneApproval via Centralized Deployment.

01

Install from AppSource

"Get Add-ins" from inside Word → search OneApproval → install. Self-serve, no admin approval required by default.

02

Sign in with your Microsoft account

SSO via your existing M365 identity. No separate account, no password to remember.

03

Send your first approval

From any open document, click the OneApproval pane, pick a workflow, send. The first-time experience is one screen and about a minute.

04

Roll it out (when you're ready)

Centralized Deployment from the M365 admin center pushes OneApproval to every user in your org. Process owners can standardize templates from day one.

The bigger picture

Microsoft Approvals is fine, for Microsoft.

Microsoft's built-in approvals can move a request through Teams. They cannot approve a Google Doc, a Canva file or a page in Confluence. OneApproval is the layer above: one flow, one audit trail, every platform your team writes in.

Word users, we'd love your input.

Design partners get the Word connector first, founding-partner terms, and direct work with the engineers building it.
